Controversial Pastor With Two Co-Accused To See The Highest Court

Everybody knows about the controversial Nigerian pastor Timothy Omotoso and his two co-accused- Lusanda Sulani and Zukiswa Sitho have decided to approach the highest court in the country after the Supreme Court of Appeal turned down their petitions to appeal against a Port Elizabeth High Court judge's decisions not to rescue himself and to cancel the charges against them.

Defence attorney Peter Daubermann of resurrection pastor Omotoso, 60, and his alleged henchwomen - Zukiswa Sitho, 28, and Lusanda Sulani, 36 is confirmed on Tuesday they would approach the Constitutional Court with an application to overrule the SCA’s decision. He also said that they do not agree with final verdict of SCA and are proceeding with an application to the Constitutional Court to refuse the appeal. The trio is facing a lot of criminal charges, which are 63 main and 43 alternative charges, including human trafficking, rape, sexual assault and racketeering and more.

In the beginning of the trial Daubermann- the defence attorney of Omotoso brought an application to have the charges quashed, claiming that the formal charge of accusation did not contain sufficient information about the charges. Port Elizabeth High Court Judge Mandela Makaula dismissed the application, and prompting Omotoso’s lawyers to apply for leave to appeal and everything is dismissed. Later, a further application was brought by fake pastor Omotoso for Makaula to recuse himself after getting the verdict of state witness Cheryl Zondi and claimed Makaula had sided with Zondi and decided to get rid of the matter soon.

Also, the National Prosecuting Authority regional spokesperson Tsepo Ndwalaza confirmed on Tuesday that state prosecutor Nceba Ntelwa was informed late on Monday afternoon that the SCA had dismissed the applications of fake prophet and his 2 co-accused and citing that there were no prospects of success.
